This painting is inspired by the Carters, Jay-Z and Beyoncé and the visuals for their first song off their joint album “The Carters”. The visuals were a testament to black excellence and wrapped in beauty and love. For me it depicted the power of a couple teamed together and bringing their strengths together to the world. The song begins “I can’t believe we made it”, but they weren’t referring to their careers. In this moment they were referring to their relationship. With the ups and downs and all they’ve had to endure as a couple they made it, The Carters.
 
In addition, a first run of museum-quality giclée prints have been produced using archival inks and musuem quality paper.
 
Each print has been hand signed.
